4. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is my firewood delivered?
A: All orders are delivered using a kerbside delivery service via a heavy goods vehicle and a manual pump truck. The pallet will be placed at the roadside nearest to your property.
Q: Can the driver move the pallet onto my driveway or garage?
A: Drivers are not insured to carry items onto private property. Any movement beyond kerbside drop-off is strictly at the driver’s discretion and relies on having a flat, tarmac/concrete ground surface.
Q: What equipment is used, and can you deliver over gravel?
A: Deliveries use a manual pump truck. Pump trucks cannot roll over gravel, loose stones, grass, steep slopes, or unpaved tracks. Delivery can only occur on level, hard ground.
Q: What size lorry is used?
A: Standard delivery vehicles are 18-tonne lorries (approx. 2.5m wide, 4m high, and 11m long). If access to your street is narrow or restricted, please inform us prior to ordering.
Q: Can I request delivery without a signature?
A: Yes. You can opt for signature-free delivery at checkout. Please note that if no signature is required, goods are left at your risk once offloaded.
